Netent Makes Its Entry into the Canadian Market

It was at the start of this year that Netent signed into an agreement with another developer – International Game Technology (IGT) – to provide online gaming options to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). The agreement, which was signed in London, meant that the two companies would come together and offer up a selection of games to the Canadian gambling market.

The technical procedures necessary to complete such a task have now been fulfilled and gamers within Canada now have access to a wide range of casino games from the Netent brand. Where does IGT come into this? Well, the integration of Netent’s games was only possible via the usage of its IGT Connect technology.
The Canadian gambling market is fully regulated, which has proved to be another positive step for the Netent brand, which is one of the world’s leading developers. Multiple releases from Netent have found themselves taking prime position with gamers around the world, and it’s a company that already caters to many of the top online casinos. The deal that was entered into is similar to one that Netent has in Norway, which sees it supply casino gaming options via Norsk Tipping, the country’s state-owned lottery.

Despite the fact that the implementation of Netent’s games through the BCLC lottery was quite the difficult process, Netent has now successfully entered into the Canadian Market. One thing to be aware of, is that not all of the developer’s games are available to players in Canada, but the vast majority of the brand’s best and most popular games can be found there.

Netent Claims Another Milestone

By entering the Canadian gambling market, Netent has taken another significant step in its own advancement. Headed by the new CEO of the company, Therese Hollman, the next step seems to be the United States and Mexico. It’s all a part of the North American expansion scheme that the brand has put into operation.

Canada seems like it was definitely the right place to start with this, due to its large market. Netent has also studied the success rates of other developers that have entered into the market previously, and it is taking this knowledge to heart with its intent to cover all of North America. Things aren’t restricted to this continent though, because it was only a short couple of days ago that Netent signed another deal that will see it provide games to players in Lithuania. Signing into a deal with the Lithuaina iGaming operator known as Top Sport, Netent will soon see its products being available to Lithuanian gamers, too.

As has always been the case with Netent, it intends to continue pumping out high-quality games in the forthcoming months and years. This has been its stance since it began operating back in 1996. Throughout the proceeding years, the company has built itself up and now provides its games to a huge number of countries. As things stood at the end of 2018, Netent is estimated to have controlled 16% of the global market share. In Europe alone, the company has a 25% market share, which just shows how popular and extensive the developer already is.
